Dana Thompson, wife of Army Captain Don Thompson, wrote the winning essay in a competition to provide a "deck makeover" for a deserving military family. The work involved a completely new deck, new front steps, and some landscaping improvements. All of the materials and labor were provided courtesy of a wonderful group of skilled craftsmen organized by the Georgia Chapter of the North American Deck and Railings Association (NADRA). Many other organizations and businesses also contributed time, talent, and donated products and services. A big "Thank You" goes to all! This military family, including the four Thompson children now have a wonderful addition to their home so they can enjoy the great outdoors.
