In May and June 2011, an adventurous bunch of 35 folks from many places in the USA and Canada, met up in Auckland, New Zealand to begin a visit in New Zealand and Australia.
This is a group photo taken on May 27, as we bid farewell to New Zealand from the village of Hanmer Springs, located on the South Island. From here, we went to Christ Church where we flew to Melbourne, Australia to begin the second part of the adventure. Our guide for the New Zealand portion was Linda Healey, pictured to the right of the middle (with a blue-green scarf and sunglasses). To the far left of the photo is our wonderful driver and co-guide, Marty Bell, dressed in the appropriate kilt. He saluted us with a performance on his bagpipe as we concluded the New Zealand portion of the trip. Many thanks go to Marty and Linda for the wonderful experience.

More photos of both New Zealand and Australia will be added to this website over the next few weeks, so please visit the site again. Also, feel free to add comments regarding any of the photos, especially if I get the location wrong!

A footnote to the group photo: The photographer, (me) David Batley, is missing (he took this photo), so he will be magically brought in via PhotoShop at a later time!
