In March 2017, a group of four photographers traveled to the Georgia coast for a photography adventure. The main destination was Jekyll Island, with stops at St. Simons Island, Darien, and several (spontaneous) "opportune" locations along the way to capture interesting subjects. Nearly all the locations were close to the coastal marshes, thus the name, "Marsh Madness."
Images in this gallery consist of a selection of 9 photos from each of the 4 photographers. The idea was to create a gallery representing the same number of images as a roll of 36 exposure film.
Many of the images were shot around the "golden hours" of sunrise and sunset, offering unique lighting of the subjects. Also, a few were captured along the road toward the Golden Isles in rural Georgia. In all, they represent a thoughtful and creative view of this beautiful region.
